Art Work Log:

Introduction:

This section is for logging all the work I will do in our Art Lessons. We have these once every week and they do contribute to the FMP. Not all work will be able to be put on here as it may not be documented. Also some of the work is copied from other sections in this blog also.

Image Analysis:

  • Quite Dark with a little light above the door.

  • The left side has colour and right side is blank.

  • The multiple lights that are turned off could symbolise death.

  • The hall is quite empty. Not full on.

  • There is no chaos.

  • It is quite public and welcoming. Open areas simple colours.

  • Multiple openings into other rooms.

  • Front Door is the main focus.

  • The Plant and Light are quite small in comparison to the rest.

  • It is quite Narrow.

  • It is a little cold on your feet, there is clear air.

  • Quite New, Untouched.

  • Staircase is quite ominous to the right.

  • The space is well kept and clean.

Primary Research (Hallway).jpg

Collaborative Clay City:

clay city.jpg

This is an image of a collaborative project that the group worked on. Everyone made a small building/feature out of clay, that would then be placed in this city. This task was classed as primary research so that we could see different designs of buildings and how multiple things made by different people could be a part of the same thing. It was also a way of testing clay when making models. Now people know what it is like we know whether we want to use it or not in the models we will make in future sessions.

This is a model of one of the buildings in the city. It was made in 3DS Max and was relatively easy to make. I really like the design. This will later be added to a 3DS Max City similar to the clay one.

Collaborative Floating Cardboard City:

This is a picture of a small building I have made to be a part of a cardboard city. Everyone in the class is making other small buildings and will eventually be put together in a floating city model. I used hot glue and cardboard to construct it. The idea is that the design of these buildings will improve our design skills and make us come up with more creative ideas.

3D Model Mock Up:

3D Model Mock Up.PNG

This is a screenshot, from Photoshop, of an edited 3D Model I had made. This model was then put on to Photoshop and I added textures and features to it and a background. This is so I can get an idea of what it could like if I were to apply it to my project.

3D Model.PNG

This is a picture of the model I made for this task. I cut out a bunch of random shapes of cardboard and then tried to create something original with these shapes.
